Turbot quota of 114 tons for Bulgaria and Romania

At the forum of GFCM and GD MАRE, held in Monte Negro on 19th-20th October 2017, it was decided that the turbot quota should be increased to 114 tons by 57 tones for Bulgaria and Romania.   

This result was achieved with the active contribution of the Black Sea Advisory Council BlSAC, which organized a series of meetings at the highest level, respectively with Mr. Joao Machado – General Director of DG MARE at the EC, and Mr. Abdellah Srour – Executive Secretary of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

 The Chairman – Mr. Manaila, and the General Secretary – Mr. Yordan Gospodinov, took an active part in the preliminary meetings this summer in Rome and Brussels. Mr. Manaila also attended and actively participated in the meetings in Montenegro. The resolutions of the Commissions shall enter into effect as of the date of their publication in a Regulation of the European Community.
