BlSAC mission
It will promote a balanced representation of all fisheries and aquaculture stakeholders and will contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Common Fisheries Policy.
The Black Sea Advisory Council will encourage cooperation with stakeholders from other Maritime States that will provide information and advice on sustainable resource management in this sea basin. For this purpose, experts from these third countries may be invited, whenever appropriate, to meetings of the Council as observers.
The Black Sea Advisory Council will make recommendations and suggestions to the Commission and the Member States concerned on fisheries management and socio-economic and conservation aspects of fisheries and aquaculture.
They will inform the Commission and the Member States on issues related to governance and to socio-economic and conservation aspects of fisheries and aquaculture in their geographical area or area of competence and will assist, in close cooperation with the scientific community, the collection, delivery and analysis of the data needed to develop conservation measures, etc.
